Students of French all know "bonjour", "merci", "au revoir"... But then often freeze when a French native uses another word. There are alternatives, and you should, if not use them, at least understand them. The lessons below will also point out common mistakes, such as saying "bonne nuit" for "bonne soirée" (have a good night sleep ≠ have a good evening). or the fact that "salut" is NOT the exact equivalent of "hi".
