7 Favorite Québécois Canadian French Expressions

Bonjour mes chers étudiants de français,

As in any language, French differs a bit with the country/region it is spoken.  Even if the grammar remains mostly the same, the vocabulary can vary quite a bit, and so will the accent. It's pretty much the same as with British English ≠ American English ≠ Australian English...

So this week, I wrote about seven very common French Canadian expressions. Well, I say "I", but it's really Michel, one of my French immersion at teacher's house teachers who wrote the article. Michel lives in Quebec part time, so he is well acquainted with Canadian French.

As usual, I'll be posting daily mini lessons and tips on my Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages - so join me there!

Good luck with your French studies,

Camille Chevalier Karfis
