First of all, tomorrow (Wednesday) is "le premier avril" (April's fool). In France, the traditional prank is to attach a paper fish on the back of your victims, make fun of them and then yell "poisson d'avril" when it's discovered. But there will be many jokes on TV etc... Read more about it in my article. More seriously, this coming Monday is Easter, a major Catholic Holiday. In France, it's called "Pâques" (watch out, no article: "La Pâque" is Passover). There is much to say about Easter in France, so I suggest you read this more religious/history related article, as well as my own article on the subject of Easter and it's various French traditions.
