Mes chers étudiants de français,
I’d like to start this newsletter with a thought for all the victims of the tragedy we endured in France last week (as well as others throughout the world). It was a rough time for all of us and we will hopefully come out the other side stronger and more compassionate. But normal life must go on so...
Today, we'll study another "learn French in context" story. Steve, one of my Skype student went to Normandy, and his assignment was to keep a diary in French. The result is a series of articles written in simple French, which he has kindly agreed to share with you. So Today, he is taking you to sweet Rouen.
We will also talk about a trivial, yet useful subject if you ever go to France: the toilet! I had already written a couple of articles on this subject, but this week I invite you to read about what to expect when you use a French toilet and how to avoid a nasty surprise when you use a public restroom. Follow the links to access more vocabulary and tips on the subject.
As usual, I'll be posting daily mini lessons and tips on my Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages - so join me there!
Cheers,
Camille Chevalier-Karfis
