Vis-à-vis
If you can't learn about the French expression vis-à-vis face to face, this lesson is the next best thing.

Repeating auxiliary verbs
When using more than one verb in the passé composé or another compound tense, you can - but don't always have to - repeat the auxiliary verb in front of each past participle. Whether you have to repeat the auxiliary verb depends on whether the main verbs take the same auxiliary verb.

Proofreading and Editing Tips
Whether you're checking over French homework, proofreading an essay, or verifying a translation, there are certain key problem areas to watch out for. This is not a definitive list by any means, but it indicates areas of confusion and common mistakes caused by differences between French and English and includes links to more detailed explanations and examples. Before you turn anything in, check your work.
