Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — December
2012.
In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.

Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in November*
*EUR/USD* — formed a V-shaped pattern in November. It was at the
maximum at 1.6038 on December 15, at its minimum at 1.1639 on December
15, finishing the month at 1.2984.
*GBP/USD* — followed the EUR/USD currency pair almost exactly. The
highest monthly rate was at 2.1161 on December 9, while the lowest —
at 1.3502 on December 23. GBP/USD finished December trading at 1.6010.
*USD/JPY* — soared up after a small drop in the beginning of the
month; stalled during last week. The pair rose to as high as 124.13 on
December 22, reaching a bottom at 75.56 on December 31 and closing the
month with the 82.47 rate.
*EUR/JPY* — moved similarly to USD/JPY but with a sharper drop in
the beginning. The monthly high was at 139.21 on December 5, the
monthly low — at 94.11 on December 24. Trading ended at 107.09 for
this currency pair.
*GBP/JPY* — was nearly identical to EUR/JPY in November. The maximum
level for this pair was 215.87 on December 23, while the minimum —
116.83 on December 22. The month's trading ended at 132.04 for
GBP/JPY.

Fundamental background of the past month*
Greece was the major theme on the Forex market for the most part of
this month. Initially, traders were worried

about the indebted country, but later their sentiment has improved

. Indeed, the optimism proved to be warranted as the Hellenic Republic
received a bailout, further improving
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2012/11/29/euro-heads-higher-on-italian-yields-us-fiscal-cliff/?utm_source=n201212&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=n201212>
the outlook for the eurozone.
Another major topic was the potential fiscal cliff in the United
States. Traders were concerned

about the problem at first, but later their view became a bit more
mixed

. The US Presidential election was also affecting the Forex market

, but its influence quickly faded after the outcome had become clear.
The yen remained under pressure from expectations of an intervention

from the Bank of Japan, though this month the bank did not act

There were some surprises this month. The Reserve Bank of Australia
refrained from cutting its interest rates

, though a decrease of the rates remains possible

. Mark Carney, the current Bank of Canada's Governor, was appointed

as the next Bank of England's head.
