EarnForex.com Monthly Newsletter

*August 5, 2014*

Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — August
2014.

In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.

*
EDITORIAL: Fooled by Technical Analysis*

When new traders find some source of technical analysis information
— be it some website with a daily TA section or
some forum member sharing his important price levels — they often
put too much blind trust into those levels. Moreover, they often
start treating those technical analysis levels as signals. Technical
analysis is a very powerful tool, but do not get fooled by it:

*Be attentive.* Read descriptions of the offered technical levels and
learn what they mean. For example, do not treat resistance levels as
some long-side take-profit rates that will be certainly reached.

*Use other information.* Do not disregard other information you
learned about the current market situation. Combine your knowledge
gained from different sources. Be especially careful if there are
clear contradictions between technical analysis and other types of
analysis (fundamental or sentiment).

*Analysis may contain errors.* While reputable websites hire
experienced technical analysts to provide their regular TA articles,
they can still err. Make sure you do not transfer obvious errors from
their analysis to your trading account.

Remember that the more you know the harder it will be to trick you.
Educate yourself, practice your trading skills, talk to more
experienced traders, and you will be able to withstand even the most
deceptive market situations.

*
Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in July*

*EUR/USD* — went straight down in July. It was at the maximum at
1.3700 on July 1, at its minimum at 1.3366 on July 30, finishing the
month at 1.3389.

*GBP/USD* — dropped during the whole month too. The highest monthly
rate was at 1.7190 on July 15, while the lowest — at 1.6856 on July
31. GBP/USD finished July trading at 1.6883.

*USD/JPY* — declined during the first half of the month, rallied
strongly in the second half. The pair rose to as high as 103.08 on
July 30, reaching a bottom at 101.06 on July 10 and closing the month
with the 102.78 rate.

*EUR/JPY* — was falling through the most part of July, recovered a
little during the final days. The monthly high was at 139.27 on July
3, the monthly low — at 136.36 on July 24. Trading ended at 137.63
for this currency pair.

*GBP/JPY* — went down and sideways but without significant bearish
waves. The maximum level for this pair was 175.34 on July 3, while the
minimum — 172.50 on July 25. The month's trading ended at 173.52 for
GBP/JPY.

*
Fundamental background of the past month*

The US dollar started July with relatively strong results thanks to
employment data
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/05/week-gains-usd-non-farm-payrolls/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
. The currency lost some of its upward momentum as US policy makers
were attempting to downplay interest rate hike expectations, but risk
aversion helped the greenback to maintain its rally
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/12/risk-aversion-counters-negative-impact-fomc-comments-usd/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
. The currency kept its strong performance during the last trading
week of the month, but the rally stalled
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/08/03/dollar-rallies-weekly-gain-rally-comes-halt/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
after July's employment data came out worse than market participants
have anticipated. Still, July was very good month for the US currency.

The euro demonstrated lackluster performance last month. The European
Central Bank contributed to the currency's weakness
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/22/euro-weakness-finally-shows-ecb-gets-serious-stimulus/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
as it was talking about additional stimulating measures. Another
reason for the euro's softness was concerns about a potential impact
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/23/euro-struggles-maintain-gains-russian-sanctions-possible/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
that sanctions against Russia may cause to the European economy. The
shared 18-nation currency breached the $1.3400 level
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/30/euro-slips-1-3400-us-dollar/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
versus the dollar but bounced by the end of the month
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/08/01/eurusd-eurgbp-rally-eurjpy-unable-keep-gains/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
.

The Great Britain pound experienced a terrible month as Britain's
growth momentum was fading
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/11/fading-growth-momentum-makes-britains-currency-less-appealing/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
and the Bank of England hinted
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/23/boe-minutes-weigh-uk-pound/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
that it is not in a hurry to start raising interest rates.

The Japanese yen profited from risk aversion
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/11/yen-continues-gain-risk-aversion/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
but was weakening
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/30/yen-falls-data-usa-europe-suggests-haven-unnecessary/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
from time to time as the market sentiment was improving.

The Canadian dollar started July on a positive note
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/04/positive-us-employment-data-leads-massive-gains-cad/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
but sank afterwards
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/07/canadian-dollar-sinks-despite-news-bad/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
and was further hammered down
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/11/canadian-employment-provides-nasty-surprise-cad-sinks/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
by domestic employment data.

The Australian dollar also started the month strongly
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/01/aussie-rises-rba-china-adds-bullishness/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
but quickly lost upside momentum
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/03/aussie-extends-losses-retail-sales-stevens-comments/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
. The currency's performance improved markedly
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/26/australian-dollar-ends-week-among-best-performing-currencies/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
in the second half of the month, but poor domestic data was dragging
the Aussie down
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/08/01/aud-loses-gains-domestic-economic-data-favorable/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
at the month's end.

July started very good
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/08/nz-dollar-gains-fitch-raises-new-zealands-credit-rating-outlook/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
for the New Zealand dollar but the currency halted its rally
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/10/nzdusd-turns-reaching-highest-since-2011/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
after reaching new highs. The kiwi lost all its shine after the
Reserve Bank of New Zealand announced
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/07/24/nz-dollar-sinks-rbnz-statement/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201408>
that it is going to pause its interest rate hike cycle.

Risk aversion did little to help gold in July, and the precious metal
fell 3 percent over the month.

This is your monthly EarnForex.com newsletter.

EarnForex.com Monthly Newsletter

*July 1, 2014*

Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — July
2014.

In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.

*
EDITORIAL: Approaching New Indicators*

From time to time you will be stumbling upon some new technical
indicators in Forex — either free or paid ones.
It is important to remember the following points when you find
something new and promising:

*Testing* — first and foremost, you must find some way to test the
indicator's effectiveness. If the new indicator is advertised as a
better substitute for some other (e.g. some advanced form of a Moving
Average), you should be able to test it against that old indicator and
get consistent results of higher profit or smaller losses, or whatever
else you expect from it. If it is a completely new indicator, without
a clear predecessor, you still can test but against the random
signals.

*Consistency* — does the indicator show consistency or does it only
work under very specific conditions? You do not want get it to real
account trading before you find out.

*Resources* — does the indicator require some particularly expensive
resources? For example, it could require a lot of CPU power for
calculation, or some external data feed, or a lot of interaction with
the trader.

In case of free indicators
<http://www.earnforex.com/metatrader-indicators>
, there is no big problem here — you can test indicator and, in the
worst case, waste just time on that. However, if you are going to buy
one, you need to be able to check all the above-mentioned points
before spending money. Alternatively, a reputable money back guarantee
would work too.

*
Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in June*

of the month. It was at the maximum at 1.3697 on June 30, at its
minimum at 1.3502 on June 5, finishing the month at 1.3692.

*GBP/USD* — remained in a pretty strong uptrend during the whole
month. The highest monthly rate was at 1.7114 on June 30, while the
lowest — at 1.6698 on June 4. GBP/USD finished June trading at
1.7105.

*USD/JPY* — declined with almost no upward days in June. The pair
rose to as high as 102.79 on June 4, reaching a bottom at 101.23 on
June 30 and closing the month with the 101.32 rate.

*EUR/JPY* — traded sideways following a drop during the first 10
days. The monthly high was at 140.08 on June 9, the monthly low — at
137.70 on June 16. Trading ended at 138.72 for this currency pair.

*GBP/JPY* — posted two classic bullish waves and bearish corrections
to form an uptrend in June. The maximum level for this pair was 174.07
on June 20, while the minimum — 170.42 on June 2. The month's
trading ended at 173.29 for GBP/JPY.

*
Fundamental background of the past month*

June was a rather poor month for the US dollar, which posted a third
monthly loss versus the Japanese yen. While initially that
the greenback should be supported by fundamentals,

EarnForex.com Monthly Newsletter

*June 3, 2014*

Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — June
2014.

In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter, I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.

*
EDITORIAL: Account Diversification*

Although you may believe that there is no point in using more than one
live account in Forex trading, there are some real advantages to that:

*Better conditions* — trading conditions vary on different account
types of one broker and among different brokers. With more than one
account, you can choose where to open your next position and get the
best conditions for that particular currency pair.

*Better tools* — you may get access to live account features (e.g.
proprietary analysis or special indicators) from more than one broker.

*Diversification* — the most important benefit. Keeping your entire
trading capital at a single broker may result in a huge loss in case
of some unforeseeable event (e.g. broker's bankruptcy).

Of course, if your trading account is too small, it is probably not a
good idea to reduce it even farther, dividing it between two accounts.
The best way to diversify into another account is to do it when you
really need to get some feature of a new broker. Then you transfer
only half of your funds to that new broker and end up with two active
accounts.

Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in May*

*EUR/USD* — following a timid try to rally during the first days of
May, the currency pair fell rapidly. It was at the maximum at 1.3993
on May 8, at its minimum at 1.3586 on May 29, finishing the month at
1.3634.

*GBP/USD* — moved in a classic downtrend. The highest monthly rate
was at 1.6996 on May 6, while the lowest — at 1.6692 on May 29.
GBP/USD finished May trading at 1.6749.

*USD/JPY* — behaved similarly to GBP/USD but with more volatility.
The pair rose to as high as 103.02 on May 2, reaching a bottom at
100.82 on May 21 and closing the month with the 101.73 rate.

*EUR/JPY* — declined during the whole month. The monthly high was at
142.37 on May 2, the monthly low — at 137.97 on May 29. Trading
ended at 138.73 for this currency pair.

*GBP/JPY* — moved down in two consecutive bearish waves. The maximum
level for this pair was 173.44 on May 2, while the minimum — 169.52
on May 29. The month's trading ended at 170.44 for GBP/JPY.

Fundamental background of the past month*

The US dollar had experienced relatively good trading month even
though it was soft
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/03/poor-week-dollar-despite-fed-nfp/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
at the start of May. The major reason for the surge of the currency
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/09/greenback-surges-major-counterparts/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
later were comments from European Central Bank President Mario Draghi
about a possibility of an interest rate cut in June. The greenback
retreated as US policy makers attempted to downplay

expectations of an interest rate hike, but the currency resumed its
rally on speculations
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/28/dollar-carves-gains-help-interest-rates-speculations/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
that the Federal Reserve is still going to tighten its monetary
policy this year.

Consequently, May was terrible for the euro as the shared 18-nation
currency plunged
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/28/interest-rate-cut-talks-continue-hurt-euro/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
after Draghi's comments. Poor GDP figures
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/15/euro-plunges-economic-growth-europe-disappoints/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
from the eurozone just added to the woes, and the euro has not been
able to recover by the end of the month even though it attempted to
hold ground during the last trading week
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/31/euro-decent-trading-week-terrible-month/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
.

The Great Britain pound was surprisingly soft in May, falling even
against the weak euro, even though it conquered new highs
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/01/positive-data-helps-gdp-reach-multi-year-record-vs-usd/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
at the start of the month. The currency depreciated on speculations
that the Bank of England will not raise interest rates as soon as was
expected.

The performance of the Japanese yen was also surprising as the
currency's gains were rather limited even though traders felt need for
safety
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/19/yen-starts-week-strong-traders-sentiment-favors-safety/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
, while Japanese policy makers refrained
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/21/stimulus-boj-yen-higher/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
from adding stimulus.

May was positive

for the Canadian dollar even though the poor GDP report hurt the
currency
<http://www.topforexnews.com/2014/05/30/canadian-dollar-drops-economic-data/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=n201406>
by the end of the month. The Australian dollar did not move far
against its US counterpart, while the New Zealand dollar lost its
shine

following the previous month's impressive rally.

Gold was moving sideways for the most part of the month but sank

by the end of May.
