French prefix: ci-

The French prefix ci- is often placed in front of adverbs, prepositions, adjectives, and past participles to indicate location, as in ci-dessous and ci-joint.

Infinitive

The infinitive is the basic, unconjugated form of a verb, sometimes called the name of the verb. We usually learn French verbs in the infinitive, since that is what you start with in order to conjugate them, but in fact the French infinitive can also be used several different ways without any conjugation.

Present participle

Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — September
2012.

In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.

*
Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in August*

*EUR/USD* — was clearly in an uptrend during the month of August. It
was at the maximum at 1.2637 on August 31, at its minimum at 1.2133 on
August 2, finishing the month at 1.2577.

*GBP/USD* — was bullish last month, but with a bit of uncertainty
during the final days. The highest monthly rate was at 1.5912 on
August 23, while the lowest — at 1.5489 on August 2. GBP/USD
finished August trading at 1.5862.

*USD/JPY* — had not definite trend in August but posted a
medium-term spike during the mid-month. The pair rose to as high as
79.65 on August 20, reaching a bottom at 77.90 on August 1 and closing
the month with the 78.38 rate.

*EUR/JPY* — posted an uptrend but went sideways during the last days
of the month. The monthly high was at 99.18 on August 21, the monthly
low — at 94.92 on August 2. Trading ended at 98.59 for this currency
pair.

*GBP/JPY* — was in a rather strong bullish trend during the first 20
days but declined somewhat during the last decade of the month. The
maximum level for this pair was 125.51 on August 22, while the minimum
— 121.08 on August 3. The month's trading ended at 124.34 for
GBP/JPY.

*
Fundamental background of the past month*

The August markets were ruled by expectations —
negative expectations about Spain and its bailout, and positive
expectations
about Federal Reserve announcing the third round of quantitative
easing (QE3).

Overall, the macroeconomic situation has improved in the world,
with less bad fundamental reports and more optimistic ones coming out
during
the month. This has helped commodity currencies, the euro and the
British pound
to post monthly gains. Additionally, both gold and silver have also
climbed
significantly in August. The bond markets became less stingy for the
governments
of then European states. This has also contributed to the rise in the
risk-associated assets.

Fed's Ben Bernanke has managed to add even more optimism (and
weaken the dollar) by
