EarnForex.com Monthly Newsletter
*June 3, 2014*
Welcome to the latest issue of EarnForex.com newsletter — June
2014.
In this issue of EarnForex.com newsletter, I will remind you about the
most important Forex-related events of the last month and will also
show you the list of the site's latest updates.
*
EDITORIAL: Account Diversification*
Although you may believe that there is no point in using more than one
live account in Forex trading, there are some real advantages to that:
*Better conditions* — trading conditions vary on different account
types of one broker and among different brokers. With more than one
account, you can choose where to open your next position and get the
best conditions for that particular currency pair.
*Better tools* — you may get access to live account features (e.g.
proprietary analysis or special indicators) from more than one broker.
*Diversification* — the most important benefit. Keeping your entire
trading capital at a single broker may result in a huge loss in case
of some unforeseeable event (e.g. broker's bankruptcy).
Of course, if your trading account is too small, it is probably not a
good idea to reduce it even farther, dividing it between two accounts.
The best way to diversify into another account is to do it when you
really need to get some feature of a new broker. Then you transfer
only half of your funds to that new broker and end up with two active
accounts.

Overview of the major currency pairs' performance in May*

May, the currency pair fell rapidly. It was at the maximum at 1.3993
on May 8, at its minimum at 1.3586 on May 29, finishing the month at

was at 1.6996 on May 6, while the lowest — at 1.6692 on May 29.
GBP/USD finished May trading at 1.6749.
*USD/JPY* — behaved similarly to GBP/USD but with more volatility.
The pair rose to as high as 103.02 on May 2, reaching a bottom at
100.82 on May 21 and closing the month with the 101.73 rate.
*EUR/JPY* — declined during the whole month. The monthly high was at
142.37 on May 2, the monthly low — at 137.97 on May 29. Trading
ended at 138.73 for this currency pair.
*GBP/JPY* — moved down in two consecutive bearish waves. The maximum

Fundamental background of the past month*
The US dollar had experienced relatively good trading month even
though it was soft

at the start of May. The major reason for the surge of the currency

later were comments from European Central Bank President Mario Draghi
about a possibility of an interest rate cut in June. The greenback
retreated as US policy makers attempted to downplay

expectations of an interest rate hike, but the currency resumed its
rally on speculations
<

that the Federal Reserve is still going to tighten its monetary
policy this year.
Consequently, May was terrible for the euro as the shared 18-nation
currency plunged

after Draghi's comments. Poor GDP figures

from the eurozone just added to the woes, and the euro has not been
able to recover by the end of the month even though it attempted to
hold ground during the last trading week

.
The Great Britain pound was surprisingly soft in May, falling even
against the weak euro, even though it conquered new highs

at the start of the month. The currency depreciated on speculations
that the Bank of England will not raise interest rates as soon as was
expected.
The performance of the Japanese yen was also surprising as the
currency's gains were rather limited even though traders felt need for
safety

, while Japanese policy makers refrained

from adding stimulus.
May was positive

for the Canadian dollar even though the poor GDP report hurt the
currency

by the end of the month. The Australian dollar did not move far
against its US counterpart, while the New Zealand dollar lost its
shine

following the previous month's impressive rally.
